Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Peru Ollanta Humala on the Peruvian side’s initiative.
In the spirit of the Joint Statement on Strategic Partnership between Russia and Peru, signed in November 2015, the two leaders exchanged views on a range of current issues on the bilateral and international agenda. In particular, the presidents were pleased to note that in spite of unfavourable trends in the global economy, the volume of mutual trade increased by 40% in the previous year.
Mr Putin and Mr Humala agreed to continue the dialogue at the highest and other levels.
