At Vladimir Putin’s invitation, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, will make his first official visit to Russia on January 17–19. The two leaders will hold talks at the Kremlin on January 18.
The talks will focus primarily on comprehensive development of trade and economic, investment, energy sector, and humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Qatar. The two leaders will have a detailed exchange of views on current international affairs, particularly the situation in the Middle East and North Africa.
