Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Taking into account the results of Deputy Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud’s recent visit to Moscow, the President of Russia and the King of Saudi Arabia discussed current issues of further developing Russian-Saudi relations in various areas and expressed a mutual commitment to intensifying bilateral cooperation.
The heads of state exchanged views on the current situation in the Middle East and North Africa, touching upon the deteriorating situation around Qatar, which, unfortunately, does not contribute to the consolidation of efforts toward the resolution of the Syrian conflict and fighting terrorism.
The two leaders agreed on the continuation of contacts at various levels.
