Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Protocol Amending the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on Labour Activity and Protection of the Rights of Russian Federation Citizens in the Republic of Tajikistan and Republic of Tajikistan Citizens in the Russian Federation of October 16, 2004.
The Protocol was signed in Moscow on October 29, 2013.
The amendment concerns temporary labour activity in the host country and the time a worker can spend in the host country.
The Protocol’s ratification will create better conditions for Russian and Tajikistani citizens engaged in temporary labour activity in each other’s country and will give them better social protection and stronger guarantees that their rights will be respected during their employment.
