Vladimir Putin congratulated President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on Independence Day, Tajikistan’s national holiday.
The message reads, in part:
“We highly value the partnership and unity between Russia and Tajikistan. We attach great importance to your country’s active participation in the multilateral cooperation within the Commonwealth of Independent States, the CSTO and SCO.
I am convinced that we will further enhance our constructive political dialogue, mutually beneficial trade, the economic, research and humanitarian ties, as well as the coordination of our efforts in resolving pressing regional issues. This fully meets the interests of our fraternal peoples and is within the mainstream of maintaining stability and prosperity in Central Asia.”
