Vladimir Putin sent President of the Republic of Turkey Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulatory messages on the occasion of the Republic’s 90th anniversary.
Russia’s head of state noted Turkey’s successes in economic, social, scientific, technological and cultural development, as well as in strengthening its position on the international stage.
Vladimir Putin stressed Russian-Turkish friendly, partnership relations; the increase in constructive political dialogue; the implementation of major joint projects in economic, trade, energy and infrastructure spheres; and cooperation in various multilateral formats.
The President of Russia also expressed his confidence that mutually beneficial cooperation and partnership will continue to expand, as their countries attempt to solve pressing regional and global problems. Turkey and Russia do so in the interests of their citizens and with a view to strengthening international stability and security.
