Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Mr Putin congratulated Mr Erdogan on the ruling Justice and Development Party’s victory in the parliamentary election on November 1. Mr Erdogan expressed his condolences once more over the crash of a Russian passenger plane in Egypt.
The two presidents exchanged views on the situation in Syria following the ministerial Support Group meeting in Vienna on October 30.
Mr Putin and Mr Erdogan discussed bilateral cooperation matters, including preparations for the next meeting of the High-Level Bilateral Cooperation Council, which will take place in Russia in December. The two leaders reiterated their readiness to continue the political dialogue and the efforts to develop mutually advantageous trade and economic cooperation.
Mr Putin and Mr Erdogan agreed to hold a bilateral meeting during the G20 summit in Antalya.
