In view of the need to arrange the return of Russian nationals from Turkey and problems faced by Turkey-bound passengers flying from Moscow and other cities, Vladimir Putin has instructed the Ministry of Transport and other executive bodies to take steps to provide information to passengers, arrange to bring them back from Turkey’s airports and meet all the needs of passengers awaiting departure to Turkey from Russian airports until the situation becomes clear.
The President is receiving updates on the situation in Turkey via the Foreign Ministry, the Foreign Intelligence Service and other special services.
