Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The President of Russia again expressed condolences to the government and the people of Turkey over the December 17 terrorist attack in the city of Kayseri.
The presidents also exchanged opinions on Syria, focusing on the situation in Aleppo and in particular efforts to complete the evacuation of civilians and the fighters who are willing to join the ceasefire.
Mr Putin and Mr Erdogan discussed the initiative on talks between the Syrian government and the so-called moderate opposition in Astana, Kazakhstan.
They expressed satisfaction with close Russian-Turkish coordination in the interests of settling the internal Syrian conflict and agreed to continue intensive contact towards this end.
