The parties voiced mutual concern over the escalation of the situation in Libya. They stressed the urgent need for a ceasefire and a resumption of the negotiation process.
In addition, the two leaders underscored the importance of stepping up political and diplomatic efforts on a Syrian settlement, including within consultations in the Astana format.
It was agreed to maintain contacts at different levels.
