Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Swiss Confederation and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Didier Burkhalter.
Building on the meeting held on May 7 in Moscow, the two leaders continued their discussion of the situation in Ukraine, taking into account the results of the referendum in Donetsk and Lugansk regions. Both sides noted the importance of intensifying OSCE efforts to settle the crisis, particularly by establishing direct dialogue between the authorities in Kiev and representatives from the southeast regions of Ukraine.
