Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on the Ukrainian side’s initiative.
Petro Poroshenko briefed the President of Russia on the key points of his plan to settle this situation in southeast Ukraine.
Vladimir Putin shared a whole set of comments stressing the need to immediately end Kiev’s military operations in Lugansk and Donetsk regions.
The President of Russia expressed hope that in implementing this plan, priority attention will be given to resolving key problems that have caused strong protests by the people living in these regions.
