Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On Certain Issues Linked with the Legal Status of Citizens of the Russian Federation Who Hold Ukrainian Citizenship.
In his Executive Order, the President approved a procedure for collaboration between state agencies in exposing facts highlighting the failure of Russian citizens not to commit actions linked with the implementation of their rights and duties stemming from their Ukrainian citizenship. This provision concerns Russian citizens who are not considered Ukrainian citizens (under their applications submitted to the Russian Interior Ministry stating that they no longer wish to be Ukrainian citizens). The document also approved the relevant procedure for checking the facts and issuing a decision regarding the failure of the concerned persons to fulfil this obligation.
