On December 10, Vladimir Putin will make an official visit to Uzbekistan on President Islam Karimov’s invitation.
It is expected that the talks at the highest level will address key issues in the continued development of Russian-Uzbekistani strategic partnership, first and foremost in trade, investment, culture and humanitarian sectors. An exchange of views on current issues in regional security, including the situation in Afghanistan, is also in the plans. It is anticipated that a number of bilateral agreements will be signed following the talks.
