Vladimir Putin congratulated President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov on his convincing victory in the presidential election of March 29, 2015, and wished him continued success.
Both leaders reiterated their commitment to further developing the strategic partnership and cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan. Earlier, Mr Putin sent Mr Karimov a message of congratulations.
