Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the initiative of the Uzbekistani side.
The officials reaffirmed their mutual resolve to further promote strategic partnership and cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan in all fields.
They also stressed the importance of the launch of the Kandym Gas Processing Complex – one of the largest in Central Asia – that took place on April 19, 2018. This high-tech enterprise built with support of the Russian company LUKOIL will promote effective development of Uzbekistan’s oil and gas industry.
The schedule of upcoming contacts at the top level was also discussed.
