Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the republic’s national holiday, Independence Day.
In his message the President of Russia highlighted friendly Uzbekistan’s achievements in its socioeconomic development and the growth of the country’s authority in the global arena.
Vladimir Putin praised the level of relations between the countries, which are based on good traditions of friendship and neighbourliness, and expressed his confidence in further active progress in bilateral partnership and allied relations, as well as productive interaction in regional issues in the interests of the peoples of Russia and Uzbekistan in line with ensuring security and stability in Central Asia.
