Vladimir Putin sent a message of greeting to President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Truong Tan Sang on the 69th anniversary of the country’s independence.
The Russian President spoke highly of Vietnam’s success in the economy, the social sector, science and technology, as well as the country’s authority in regional and international affairs.
Vladimir Putin also noted that relations between Russia and Vietnam are of a truly friendly and constructive nature, which was confirmed by the talks in Hanoi in 2013. The Russian President expressed confidence that the implementation of the agreements that have been reached will help further strengthen the overall Russian-Vietnamese strategic partnership for the benefit of the two nations and in the interests of stability and security in the Asia-Pacific region.
