Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Van Thuong on the 78th anniversary of Vietnam’s declaration of independence.
The message reads, in part:
“Russian-Vietnamese relations are built on the good traditions of friendship and mutual respect. Our countries have established fruitful cooperation in various spheres, as well as constructive collaboration in international affairs.
I am confident that through joint efforts we will further strengthen our comprehensive strategic partnership for the benefit of the people of Russia and Vietnam and in the interests of maintaining security and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.”
