Vladimir Putin signed a list of instructions following a May 14, 2013 meeting on broadening the use of gas as motor fuel.
In particular, the Government of the Russian Federation is instructed to pass a comprehensive plan to broaden the use of gas as motor fuel, make corresponding amendments to Russian legislation and present suggestions on harmonising Russian legislation in this domain with the corresponding international documents. Mr Putin also issued instructions to present suggestions on creating incentives for using gas as fuel in Russia’s regions and on state support measures for broadening the use of machinery that is fuelled by gas, including liquefied natural gas.
