Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation concerning Transport Security.
The Federal Law amends the Federal Law On Transport Security and also makes amendments to the Russian Federation Merchant Shipping Code, the Russian Federation Inland Water Transport Code, and the federal laws Russian Federation Railway Transport Charter, On the Russian Federation Continental Shelf and others. Amendments have also been made to the Criminal Code and the Administrative Offences Code.
The Federal Law will improve the system for guaranteeing transport security and ensure more effective measures to protect the transport sector, including artificial islands, installations and facilities located in Russia’s exclusive economic zone and on the continental shelf, from acts of illegal intervention.
