Vladimir Putin will congratulate personnel working on the Baikal-Amur Railway on the 40th anniversary since the start of its construction, and launch the official ceremony for laying the silver spike – the section of the railway bed that symbolises the beginning of modernising the Trans-Siberian Railway and the construction of a new line of the Baikal-Amur Railway.
