The President signed the Federal Law On Amending Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation.
The Federal Law states that freight vehicles, used for international road transport via motorways, shall cross the State Border of the Russian Federation at a pre-set date and time.
A state information system for electronic transportation documents shall receive, process, store and provide data, while determining the date and time of the arrival of the specified cargo vehicles at checkpoints.
The Federal Law authorises the Government of the Russian Federation to list vehicle-crossing checkpoints at the State Border of the Russian Federation, as well as adjacent motorway sections, covered by the procedure to reserve the border-crossing date and time for cargo vehicles used for international road traffic.
