Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On Special Economic Measures to Protect the Russian Federation’s Security.
In particular, the document states that agricultural produce and raw materials produced in countries that have imposed economic sanctions on Russian legal entities and individuals or have supported these sanctions, and which are banned from being imported to Russia, will be destroyed at the border as from August 6, 2015.
The Executive Order’s provisions on destruction at the border of products banned for import do not apply to goods brought into Russia by individuals for their personal use or to goods crossing Russia in transit for a third country.
