Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Amendments to Article 3221 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The federal law increases criminal responsibility for organising illegal entry into Russia of foreign citizens and stateless persons, their illegal stay in Russia or illegal transit through the Russian territory.
The federal law will make it possible to improve measures to combat illegal immigration and will strengthen the rule of law in society and national security.
