Vladimir Putin signed the Federal Law On Amending the Labour Code of the Russian Federation and Article 13 of the Federal Law on the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation to Address the Specificities of Regulating Labour by Workers Who Are Foreign Citizens or Stateless Persons.
The amendments are aimed at improving procedures for attracting and employing foreign citizens and stateless persons on the basis of employment contracts.
In particular, the amendments establish the requirement for foreign citizens and stateless persons to hold medical insurance during the period when they are carrying out labour activities in Russia.
