The President has signed the Executive Order On Improving State Administration in Exercising Control over the Circulation of Narcotic Substances, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors, and in the Sphere of Migration.
To improve state administration in exercising control over the circulation of narcotic and psychotropic substances and their precursors, as well as in in the sphere of migration, in keeping with Article 80 of the Russian Constitution and the Federal Constitutional Law of December 17, 1997, On the Government of the Russian Federation, and pending the adoption of relevant federal legislation, the President has ordered the abolition of the Federal Drug Control Service and the Federation Migration Service and the transfer of their functions to the Russian Federation Interior Ministry.
Corresponding directives have been issued to the Russian Federation Government and the Interior Ministry.
