President Vladimir Putin signed the Federal Law On Amending Article 14 of the Federal Law On Citizenship of the Russian Federation.
The Federal Law reduces from three years to one year only the work record duration of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation required to grant them Russian citizenship under a simplified procedure. This applies to professions listed among professions of foreign citizens and stateless persons, namely, skilled specialists having the right to obtain Russian citizenship under a simplified procedure.
