Chief of thePresidential Directorate for Protection of Citizens' Constitutional Rights Tatyana Lokatkina chaired a meeting of the working group on the implementation of the State Migration Policy Concept for 2019–2025.
During the meeting, members of the working group reviewed the initiatives of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media and the Ministry of the Interior concerning approaches to comprehensive computerization of public management of migration processes. They also discussed the Foreign Ministry’s information on the introduction of a unified e-visa.
In addition, the working group analysed the Ministry of Economic Development’s proposals on simplifying the procedure for issuing residence permits to foreign investors, the Foreign Ministry’s information on proposals to ease the procedure for issuing regular tourist visas, and the Ministry of the Interior’s information on certain aspects of improving the migration legislation.
The working group also identified areas of its future work.
