Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Amendments to the Russian Federation Budget Code and Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation.
The federal law sets out the legal framework for setting up and using road funds. For this purpose, provisions have been added to the Budget Code defining the concept of a road fund as budget money specifically used to fund the design, construction, reconstruction, repair, and maintenance of roads.
The provisions of the law cover establishment of regional and municipal road funds.
Respective amendments have been made to the Federal Law On Roads and Road-Related Activity in the Russian Federation and on Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation, and to the Russian Federation Administrative Offences Code.
