Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On Assessing the Performance of Executive Authorities in the Russian Federation Constituent Entities.
The executive order obligates senior officials (heads of higher executive bodies of state power) in the Russian Federation constituent entities to submit to the Russian Government annual reports on the actual performance indicators in order to assess their effectiveness, and also provide the three-year target indicators.
Performance assessments will be based on regional demographic and socio-economic indicators, as well as the local residents’ opinion of the regional authorities’ work.
Relevant instructions have been issued to the Government.
