The Council of Legislators’ meeting will discuss a broad agenda, including implementation of the May 2012 Presidential Executive Orders and December 2013 Annual Presidential Address to the Federal Assembly, as well as Crimea and Sevastopol’s integration into the Russian Federation and local government issues. The meeting will hear reports from Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko and State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin.
Taking part in the meeting on stable development of single-industry towns will be Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, Presidential Aide Andrei Belousov, federal ministers, regional heads and business community representatives.
While in Petrozavodsk, the President will also visit a new timber mill, Kalevala. The mill, which opened last year with the participation of Czech and German partners, produces modern materials used in the construction and furniture-making sectors and was designed to meet the latest standards in economical operation and energy efficiency.
