In accordance with the Federal Law On the Police Force, the President issued executive orders on appointments to senior Interior Ministry posts.
In particular, the following appointments were made:
Police major general Mikhail Zakomaldin has been appointed interior minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan;
Police major general Vasily Kukushkin has been appointed interior minister of the Republic of Karelia;
Police lieutenant general Alexander Oldak has been appointed head of the Main Department of the Interior for the Stavropol Territory;
Police major general Alexander Styopin has been appointed head of the Department of the Interior for the Kostroma Region;
Police major general Renat Timerzyanov has been appointed head of the Main Department of the Interior for the Altai Territory;
Police colonel Baatr Gindeyev has been appointed interior minister of the Republic of Kalmykia;
Police major general Andrei Kemenev has been appointed head of the Main Department of the Interior for the Central Federal District;
Police lieutenant general Yevgeny Martynov has been appointed head of the Department of the Interior for the Kaliningrad Region.
