I wholeheartedly congratulate you and all your colleagues on your professional day, Interior Ministry Personnel Day. We are grateful to you for doing your difficult day-to-day job.

The best Interior Ministry personnel have always been noted for their professionalism, courage and personal integrity.

Our warmest greetings go to the veterans, to all the generations of ministry personnel who have created and strengthened the traditions of your service, as well as to those who continue working and who share their experience with younger colleagues.

The Interior Ministry is working faithfully to protect public order and civil rights and freedoms. Thanks to your efforts and the personal contribution from every one of you, we have learned to more effectively fight the threats of extremism, corruption, and illegal drug trafficking and migration.

I would like to express our special gratitude to you for ensuring law and order on the single voting day and during the Confederations Cup and the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students.

This year alone, state awards have been presented to over 400 ministry personnel for the heroism and courage they displayed in the performance of their duty.

We will never forget our comrades who gave their lives in the protection of justice, Russia and its people.

Friends, I am confident that you will continue to firmly respond to any threats to the stability and security of the state and society and fulfil all the tasks set to you. I depend on your professionalism, competence and devotion to your duty.
