The Presidential Executive Office Interagency Working Group on Climate Change and Sustainable Development held a regular meeting.
The working group’s members discussed interagency cooperation to implement the decisions of the United Nations Lima Climate Conference in December 2014, and prepare for the Paris Climate Conference at the end of 2015, where a new global agreement on climate change is expected to be adopted.
In particular, Russia’s draft statement on intended nationally determined contributions has been approved as part of the work on preparing a new global agreement and the needed information will be submitted shortly to the UNFCCC (Framework Convention on Climate Change) secretariat.
