In accordance with the decision of the Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Heads of State, Vladimir Putin resolved to issue a commemorative medal on the 75th Anniversary of the Victory in the 1941−1945 Great Patriotic War for CIS member states to award individuals who made a significant contribution to Victory in the 1941−1945 Great Patriotic War.
The categories of individuals to be awarded the medal as well as the award procedure are established in line with the legislative acts of the CIS member states.
Medals will be delivered to the CIS member states via diplomatic channels no later than March 1, 2020.
