On January 18, Vladimir Putin will take part in memorial events marking 80th anniversary of breaking the siege of Leningrad

The President will lay flowers at the Rubezhny Kamen (the Landmark Stone) monument in the Leningrad Region, as well as at the mass grave and the Motherland statue monument at Piskarevskoye Memorial Cemetery.

Vladimir Putin will also visit the State Memorial Museum of the Defence and Siege of Leningrad, where he will meet with Great Patriotic War veterans, residents of besieged Leningrad and representatives of patriotic civil society associations.

The agenda of Vladmir Putin’s working trip to the Northwestern Federal District will include visiting production facilities at Almaz-Antey Corporation’s Obukhov Plant, where he will talk to its workers. The President is also expected to hold a working meeting with St Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov.
