The President signed Federal Law On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation.
With a view to creating favourable conditions for international cooperation and joint investment projects with foreign partners in the Far Eastern Federal District, the Federal Law provides a framework for establishing international territories of priority development.
The Federal Law outlines the procedure for the creation and operation of international territories of priority development, establishes requirements for residents operating in such territories, sets forth requirements for investment projects implemented by such residents, as well as detailing the specifics of state and municipal oversight (supervision) of this activity.
The new legislation, which will be enacted on January 1, 2026, also introduces corresponding amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation.
