The President signed Federal Law On Amendments to Article 21 of the Federal Law on Foreign Investment in the Russian Federation.
The Federal Law introduces amendments to the Federal Law On Foreign Investment in the Russian Federation with regard to accreditation of an affiliate or a representative office of a foreign legal entity.
In part, the amendments provide for reducing the time for accrediting an affiliate or a representative office of a foreign legal entity (with the exception of the offices of foreign civil aviation companies) from 25 to 15 days from the day the relevant documents and the application for accreditation are submitted to the authorised federal executive body.
The Federal Law also specifies the grounds for denying accreditation to an affiliate or a representative office of a foreign legal entity or refusing to adopt a decision on accrediting a representative office of a foreign legal entity involved in civil aviation.
