The President will mark Cosmonautics Day, April 12, by meeting with the heads of Russia’s space sector and taking part in a direct linkup between the International Space Station and the Vostochny space launch centre.
During the video linkup, Mr Putin will congratulate the cosmonauts on their professional holiday. The President will also hear reports from Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin and Head of State Corporation Roscosmos Igor Komarov on developments in Russia’s cosmonautics.
Later that same day, Mr Putin will attend a concert to mark Cosmonautics Day and the 55th anniversary of the first manned spaceflight.
