The President signed Federal Law On Amendments to the Law On Space Activities and Federal Law On State Corporation for Space Activities Roscosmos.
The Federal Law clarifies the procedures for getting access to data obtained from spacecraft funded by the federal budget, and data purchased from commercial satellites for use by government bodies and other state agencies, municipal bodies, and their subordinate organisations. A separate provision permanently assigns Roscosmos the authority to exercise, on behalf of the Russian Federation, the ownership rights over the property of its affiliated enterprises. This authority had previously been granted to the Corporation on a temporary basis during a transition period.
