Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Protocol on Amendments to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union of May 29, 2014.
The Protocol was signed in Moscow on May 25, 2023.
The Protocol is aimed at creating a legal basis for the implementation of measures included in the Strategic Directions for Developing Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025, as approved by the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council resolution No. 12 of December 11, 2020, vesting relevant powers in the bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union, eliminating the gaps revealed as part of compliance practices in the legal regulation of certain areas defined by the Treaty, as well as adjustments to some provisions of the Treaty.
