The President signed the Federal Law on the Ratification of the Free Trade Agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and its Member States, on the one part, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, on the other part.
The agreement was signed in St Petersburg on December 25, 2023.
The objectives of the agreement are to liberalise and facilitate trade in goods between the parties through the reduction or elimination of tariff and non-tariff barriers, to support trade and economic cooperation, to encourage expansion and diversification of trade, and to enhance closer cooperation in the fields agreed in the agreement.
