The President signed Executive Order On Extending Certain Special Economic Measures to Ensure the Security of the Russian Federation.
The Executive Order was signed to protect the national interests of the Russian Federation and in accordance with Federal Law No. 281-FZ On Special Economic and Enforcement Measures dated December 30, 2006, and Federal Law No. 390-FZ On Security dated December 28, 2010.
Under the Executive Order, certain special economic measures introduced by Executive Order No. 560 On Special Economic Measures to Ensure the Security of the Russian Federation dated August 6, 2014, extended by Executive Order No. 320 dated June 24, 2015, Executive Order No. 305 dated June 29, 2016, Executive Order No. 293 dated June 30, 2017, Executive Order No. 420 dated July 12, 2018, Executive Order No. 293 dated June 24, 2019, Executive Order No. 730 dated November 21, 2020, and Executive Order No. 534 dated September 20, 2021, shall be extended to December 31, 2023.
The Government of the Russian Federation was instructed to ensure, within the scope of its competence, that action be taken to implement the Executive Order and, if necessary, propose changes to the effective period of certain special economic measures.
The Executive Order takes effect upon its signing.
