In order to protect the national interests, the President resolved to extend, from January 1 to December 31, 2024, certain special economic measures stipulated by the Presidential Executive Order No. 560 dated August 6, 2014, On Certain Special Economic Measures to Ensure the Security of the Russian Federation.Previously, these measures were extended annually.

The Government of the Russian Federation has been instructed accordingly.

Presidential Executive Order No. 560 dated August 6, 2014, envisaged a prohibition or restriction of foreign trade transactions involving the import into Russia of certain types of agricultural products, raw materials and food, originating in a country that has decided to impose economic sanctions against Russian legal entities and (or) individuals, or has joined such decisions.
