Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Amending Article 36 of the Russian Federation Law On the Customs Tariffs.
The Federal Law stipulates the exclusion of auctions as a method of distributing the volumes of the tariff quotas between the participants of foreign trade activities.
The Federal Law is being enacted due to the need to meet the Russian Federation’s commitments to World Trade Organisation member states, following Russia’s accession to the Marrakesh Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organization of April 15, 1994.
