Vladimir Putin submitted to the State Duma for ratification the Protocol on Deployment of Military Infrastructure Facilities on the Territory of Collective Security Treaty Organisation Member States, signed in Moscow on December 20, 2011.
The draft federal law seeks to ratify the Protocol on Deployment of Military Infrastructure Facilities on the Territory of Collective Security Treaty Organisation Member States, signed in Moscow on December 20, 2011, by all CSTO member states in order to further consolidate the organisation and make it more effective.
Under the Protocol, CSTO member states’ decisions on allowing the deployment on their territories of troops and military infrastructure belonging to non-CSTO member states shall be made following urgent consultations with the other CSTO members and in the absence of official objection on their part.
