September 29, 2014

Vladimir Putin submitted to the State Duma for ratification the Agreement on the Main Principles for the Creation of a Secure Command System for Forces and Resources of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation Collective Security System, which was signed in Moscow on June 14, 2009.

The Agreement was signed to create a secure command system for the forces and resources of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation collective security system, which is designed to ensure the security of command events for the CSTO collective security system forces and resources.

The secure command system is a cluster of inter-related administrative bodies, information protection agencies, mechanisation complexes and other means of forces and resource command.

The Agreement’s provisions stipulate the creation of a legal and normative base for the CSTO forces and resources secure command system and for implementing the necessary measures to maintain information security procedures and the security of classified information.

The secure command system will be created with the use of the joint means of secure command available to the parties and their unified application rules.
