Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Agreement on the Free Trade Zone.
The agreement was signed in St Petersburg on October 18, 2011.
The agreement will facilitate comprehensive and effective functioning of a free trade zone in the Commonwealth of Independent States and will create favourable conditions for further deepening integration on the basis of World Trade Organisation’s rules.
The agreement will replace the existing agreements between the states parties to the CIS free trade agreements, both bilateral and multilateral.
