The next meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States Council of Heads of State will be held on December 5 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
The agenda of the summit, which will be chaired by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, will focus, in particular, on the development of multilateral cooperation in trade, the economy and monetary sphere, culture, environment and security, as well as preparations for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945.
It is planned that the CIS leaders will exchange views on matters of mutual interest in international issues, and will hear reports on the efforts of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly to strengthen integration cooperation in the CIS.
Vladimir Putin will also hold a number of bilateral meetings.
